FAQ
- Q: Why do I need to grant Screen Time permission?
- blankr uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to manage app access during your scheduled focus periods. This permission is required for the app to function.
- Q: Can I use blankr on the Simulator?
- No. Screen Time features require a physical iOS device.
- Q: My schedule didn't activate. What should I do?
- Make sure Screen Time authorization is enabled in Settings > Screen Time. Then reopen blankr and check that your schedule is saved and toggled on.
- Q: How do I cancel a timer early?
- Open blankr and tap the active timer on the Home screen. Depending on your resistance level, you may need to complete a waiting period before ending early.
- Q: Does blankr work when the app is closed?
- Yes. Schedules are enforced by a system extension that runs independently of the main app.
- Q: How do breaks work?
- During an active schedule, you can request a break to temporarily lift app restrictions. When the break expires, restrictions are automatically re-applied.
Privacy
blankr does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All schedule and app selection data stays on your device.
